JScriptiser Terms of Service

This document covers two things: the terms on which you use the platform, and the terms on which paid consultations take place. Signing up means accepting these terms; paying for a consultation forms a contract for that consultation.

1. Who provides the services

1.1. The JScriptiser platform and consultations are run by an independent professional (the “Provider”) operating from Georgia.
1.2. You can reach the Provider at jscriptiser@gmail.com or on Telegram at @jscriptiser. Email is the primary channel for legally significant matters: complaints, refund requests and personal data requests.
1.3. Services are provided remotely, in Russian or English.

2. What this document covers

2.1. It covers two relationships: free access to the platform after signing up, and one-off paid consultations.
2.2. Signing up means you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy. The date and version of the documents you accepted are recorded.
2.3. Paying for a consultation forms a contract for the provision of that service on the terms of this document.
2.4. The Refund Policy is a separate document and forms an integral part of these terms.

3. Age

3.1. The platform and consultations are intended for people aged 18 and over. By signing up you confirm that you are at least 18.
3.2. If an account is found to belong to someone under 18, access will be terminated and the associated data deleted.

4. The platform

4.1. The platform includes a knowledge base, JavaScript and TypeScript katas, a quiz, company-specific question sets and progress tracking.
4.2. Access is free. The platform is provided “as is”: the Provider does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, absence of errors or preservation of your progress.
4.3. The Provider may change what the platform includes, suspend it or discontinue it. If the platform is discontinued, the Provider will give at least 30 days' notice.
4.4. Accounts are personal. Sharing access, scraping materials in bulk and circumventing technical restrictions are not permitted.
4.5. If these rules are broken, the Provider may restrict access, giving notice to the email address used at sign-up.

5. Consultations

5.1. A consultation is a one-off 45-minute video session. The topic is agreed in advance.
5.2. Consultations are informational and advisory. Any decisions based on them are the client's own.
5.3. The Provider does not guarantee employment, a job offer, passing an interview or an increase in income: outcomes depend on factors outside the Provider's control.
5.4. The Provider is not an educational institution and does not issue diplomas, certificates or other educational credentials.

6. Price and payment

6.1. The price of a consultation is shown on the website and includes any taxes applicable to the Provider. A price may also be agreed individually, in which case the agreed amount applies.
6.2. Payment is made off-site: by bank transfer or in cryptocurrency, as agreed. The website does not accept or store payment details.
6.3. The currency of the invoice is the settlement currency. For cryptocurrency payments the amount is fixed at the rate applied when the invoice is issued, and network fees are paid by the sender.
6.4. The contract is formed when payment reaches the Provider.
6.5. Payment confirmation and an invoice are sent by email on request.

7. Booking, rescheduling and cancellation

7.1. Session times are booked through the calendar on the website or agreed by message.
7.2. You may reschedule or cancel at no cost by giving at least 24 hours' notice before the session starts.
7.3. If you cancel less than 24 hours before the start, or do not attend, the service is treated as delivered — except in cases of technical failure or force majeure.
7.4. Arriving late does not extend the session. If the Provider is more than 15 minutes late, you may choose to reschedule or receive a full refund.
7.5. If the Provider cancels or reschedules, you choose between a new time and a full refund.

8. Right to withdraw within 14 days

8.1. You may withdraw from a paid consultation within 14 days of payment without giving a reason. An email to jscriptiser@gmail.com is enough.
8.2. If you ask for the session to take place before those 14 days have passed, you confirm that the right to withdraw ends once the service has been fully performed. If the service has been partly performed, an amount proportionate to what was delivered is retained.
8.3. Refunds are made within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal notice, by the same means used for payment unless agreed otherwise.
8.4. This applies to all clients regardless of country of residence.

9. Client materials and confidentiality

9.1. You confirm that you are entitled to share code, documents and other materials with the Provider, and that doing so does not breach your obligations to an employer or any third party.
9.2. The Provider does not disclose your materials to third parties and does not use them in public examples without separate written consent.
9.3. Sessions may only be recorded with the explicit consent of both parties, given before recording starts.
9.4. Do not share with the Provider, or enter into the AI assistant — in the Telegram bot or on the site — trade secrets, other people's personal data, or work code you are not permitted to disclose.

10. Intellectual property

10.1. Platform materials — texts, exercises, question sets and design — belong to the Provider or are used by the Provider on a lawful basis.
10.2. You are granted a personal, non-transferable licence to use the materials for your own learning.
10.3. Reselling, publishing, distributing and commercially exploiting the materials, as well as bulk automated copying, are not permitted.
10.4. Notes, reviews and recommendations prepared by the Provider for you during a consultation are yours to use without restriction.

11. Liability

11.1. The Provider's liability in respect of a paid consultation is limited to the amount actually paid for that consultation.
11.2. Free access to the platform is provided without warranties; the Provider's liability in connection with it is excluded to the extent permitted by applicable law.
11.3. These limitations do not apply to intent, gross negligence, death or personal injury, or to any case where limiting liability is not permitted by mandatory consumer protection rules.
11.4. The Provider is not responsible for third-party services — video calls, messengers, the booking calendar — or for decisions you make following a consultation.

12. Force majeure

12.1. Neither party is liable for failure to perform due to circumstances it could not foresee or prevent: loss of connectivity or power, service blocking, natural disasters, armed conflict or acts of public authorities.
12.2. The affected party notifies the other as soon as possible. A paid but undelivered session is rescheduled or refunded, at the client's choice.

13. Changes to these terms

13.1. The Provider may change these terms. Changes are not retroactive and apply to relationships arising after the new version is published.
13.2. Material changes are announced at least 14 days in advance, by email or when you sign in. If you disagree, you may stop using the platform; services already paid for are delivered on the previous terms.
13.3. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this document.

14. Governing law and disputes

14.1. These terms are governed by the law of Georgia.
14.2. If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory rules of your country of habitual residence, nor of your right to bring proceedings in the courts of your place of residence.
14.3. Before going to court, the parties try to resolve the dispute by email. The pre-court period is 30 days from receipt of the complaint.

15. Miscellaneous

15.1. This document exists in Russian and English. The version in the language used in your dealings with the Provider applies; in case of discrepancy, the interpretation more favourable to the consumer prevails.
15.2. If a provision is invalid, the remaining provisions stay in force.
15.3. Previous versions of this document are retained and available by email on request.
